The Collingwood Skating Club executives are in discussion about fall programming and registration.  We are reviewing protocols set out by Skate Canada AND those set by the Town of Collingwood's Parks, Recreation and Culture Department. Although we anticipate a return to the ice this fall, there are many factors to be considered and we are not sure yet in what capacity that will be.  At this time, we have not finalized our programming, our schedule or our fees for 2020/21.  We will update our communications regularly via the website, email and FaceBook.
Please see the attached link for Skate Ontario's updates on COVID-19 protocols:

Important information about Concussion Policy and Rowan's Law:

What is Rowan's Law
Rowan’s Law was named for Rowan Stringer, a high school rugby player from Ottawa, who died in the spring of 2013 from a condition known as second impact syndrome (swelling of the brain caused by a subsequent injury that occurred before a previous injury healed).

Effective July 1, 2019 a new rule requires the confirmation of review of the Government of Ontario Concussion Awareness Resources and the Skate Ontario’s Concussion Code of Conduct for all athletes under 26 years of age and parents/guardians for athletes under 18 years of age.

Please sign and return the Rowan’s Law Acknowledgement Form for Athletes and Parents/Guardians and return to prior to the start of lessons or on the first night of skating, Tuesday October 8th. All skaters require a completed form in order to participate in skating programs.

*Bond cheque - As there are many tasks required to run CSC, parents are asked to volunteer for a role that suits their timing. The Club collects a post-dated cheque for $75.00 dated for  at the beginning of the season and it is destroyed once hours are complete. If your family does not wish to volunteer during the skating season you may choose the 'Volunteer Bond Buyout' option listed under 'Purchase Other Products' in the Shopping Cart.
